Meet the Author

Hi! I’m Becky Grace.

I write heartfelt, humorous middle grade stories about family and friendship--and all the joy, laughter, and chaos that comes along with them.​

As a longtime middle school teacher and high school librarian, I've spent years surrounded by some really amazing books and the readers who love them. Many of my characters are inspired by the students I've taught over the years—both silly and serious—and the ones I still hope to meet.

From reluctant readers to voracious ones, we're all looking for the same things: stories that draw us in and characters that make us feel seen.​ Some of my favorite books make me laugh out loud. Others leave me thinking long after I've turned the final page. The very best ones do both.

​I've loved books for as long as I can remember and still believe there's something magical about a public library or a cozy bookstore and a well-loved children's book. When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me exploring new places (bonus points if there's a beach nearby!), browsing independent bookstores, or spending time with my best-friend husband, our four daughters, and their growing families.​
